Keeping Active


As the largest University in the country, there’s almost every sport under the sun available and multiple facilities across campus to play them in. There are many halls and non-halls sports programmes, as well as different sports teams and societies. For a comprehensive list of the sports and teams you can join, click here.

The University also offers the Sporticipate programme, which offers one-off and regular beginner sports classes and events. For more info, click here.

Wellbeing Rooms

The university has several wellbeing rooms on Main Campus and North Campus, which students and staff members can take advantage of by joining the “Be Active” and “Wellbeing” courses.

These courses are designed to not only help you exercise and get in shape, but also to help you reduce your anxiety levels. The programme varies depending on the semester and resources available, but here are some examples of the activities running all year: Yoga, Zumba, Pilates, Belly Dancing, Kettlebell Conditioning and Tai Chi Ball.
