All halls have a team of ResLife Advisors (RLAs), living in-house, who are made up of either postgraduate students or members of staff at the University. Each flat or block has a specific ResLife Advisor assigned to them. Contact with your advisor is confidential within the ResLife team, whether it’s a personal matter, an academic concern or a noise/cleanliness complaint. You can speak with them in person or send them an email them if you prefer. You can find their mobile number and email address on posters in your hall so you can send them a message.
Your Flat Advisor will visit regularly to provide information and help resolve any issues which may arise; from sorting out recycling rotas to resolving conflict. The ResLife teams will also link with or re-direct students to other support services at the University of Manchester (e.g. My Learning Essentials) where necessary.
A Duty Advisor is available at weekends, bank holidays and outside of office hours (6pm-8am). If you need to contact your Duty Advisor for urgent matters, such as noise complaints, major building problems, lock outs, welfare concerns, among others, call:
