Payment 2021/22

The best way to be sure your fees are paid on time is to set up a Direct Debit. You (or the person paying for you) will need a UK Bank Account to set this up. The Direct Debit dates for 2021/22 are October 22nd 2021, January 20th 2022 and April 26th 2022.

If you are a current resident querying payment arrangements for the remainder of the 20/21 academic year please write directly to accommodation@manchester.ac.uk

If you want to pay your accommodation fees in instalments then you must pay by Direct Debit. If you don't set up a Direct Debit then it will be assumed you are going to pay your fees in full before the first due date and if you only pay the first instalment by debit or credit card then you will be contacted by our Credit Control department who will view you as a debtor.

You can pay fees anytime online - click here to pay your fees.

Direct Debits will be processed on the payment date specified in the confirmation letter. The account holder will be contacted if the Direct Debit is returned unpaid. We require ten working days’ notice in order to amend or cancel a Direct Debit payment.

Your Direct Debit for accommodation can be set up online either at the time of accepting your licence agreement or later via My Manchester.

In order to access My Manchester, you will need to have complete your IT sign up. In My Manchester you should go to My Profile via the links on the left and then pick Bank Account update on the page. From this page you can add or update bank details for your accommodation (or tuition fee) Direct Debit.

Please ensure that there are sufficient funds in your account by close of business on the last working day before the Direct Debit due date as payments may be collected at any time on the payment date. If you know there will be insufficient funds in advance, please contact the Student Services Centre who may be able to help. You must allow ten working days for changes, as stated above.

Unpaid Direct Debit instalments may incur a default levy of no more than 3% over the Bank of England base rate where the debt remains outstanding for 14 days or more.

If there is a change to the Direct Debit correspondence address, you must inform the Student Service Centre by email (dd.accomm@manchester.ac.uk) or in writing to:

Student Services Centre Directorate for the Student Experience, The University of Manchester, Oxford Road Manchester, M13 9PL

PLEASE NOTE:

CASH PAYMENTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED FOR ACCOMMODATION LICENCE FEE PAYMENTS.

For those paying in three instalments, the £400 Advanced Licence Fee Payment paid at the time of accepting the licence agreement will be deducted from the first instalment.

In the table below you will find the 2021/22 payment plans for each University managed or leased hall - you will need to check the payment plan relevant to your student status and licence agreement length (i.e. the number of weeks):

UG = Undergraduate and PG = Postgraduate. UGs who are returning to halls of residence have a later start date and different let length to new UGs. PGs, whether new or returning, also have a different start date and let length to new UGs
